We've seen a lot of netizens doing good deeds to the less fortunate through their personal Facebook accounts. So it's incredibly foreseeable for such posts to go viral.

Last week, on May 7, netizen Faye Ares from Cebu shared her own experience in helping an indigent old man. According to her post, she was wandering around the mall, contemplating where she would eat when the old man approached her and talked with her in fluent English! The man said, "Miss, I’m sorry but I have to tell you something. Please don’t get mad. And Sorry to bother you but I’m not gonna ask for money, I’ll be asking for food to eat ‘coz I’m hungry" She decided to help the old man and led him to Jollibee.

She then asked to find an empty tale while she ordered their food. The old man reluctantly agreed and was actually surprised when she came back with food in her hands.

While they were eating, she asked the old man some basic questions to get to know him a little. She found out that his name is Jansen Locsin, 70 years old and has two sisters. His father is already deceased but his mother is still alive. He was in Cebu to run his business but unfortunately, it didn't go well, leaving him bankrupt. He was a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University and was teaching in UP and Ateneo.

After eating, she gave him a bottled water and a hundred pesos. He refused the offer at first but when she insisted, he accepted it and they've gone their separate ways.
