Boob Myths You Actually Believe In!
Ever since you were little, you've been told of myths about different things. You might have heard some myths about your boobs. But are they actually true? Find out below:
You Can Make Your Boobs Bigger With Exercise
We've all heard this one, right? That, like, if you do a certain kind of push-up or arm circle or buy a special springed weight and use it regularly, your boobs will grow to their fullest potential. This is not true! Breast size is influenced by breast tissue, which itself is not affected by exercise. You do, however, have some muscles under your breast tissue that you can work out. This won't affect the size or shape of your breasts, but it can make your overall chest area seem more developed. Basically, if you do some push-ups, your boobs might look a little perkier. But they definitely won't grow.
You Can Make Your Boobs Bigger By Gaining Weight
Another common rumor is that, if you gain a lot of weight, your boobs will get a permanent boost that lasts even after you lose the weight. This, again, isn't exactly true--some people do find that their breasts get larger when they gain weight, but, since there's no way to selectively gain weight, you can't ensure that that's what will happen to you. Besides, if you end up losing the weight later, your boobs will return to their original size. Basically? Gaining weight for the sole purpose of getting bigger boobs probably isn't the greatest tactic.

Eating Certain Foods Will Make Your Boobs Bigger
A lot of people seem to think that eating anything from soy to carrots to garlic will cause your boobs to grow. The truth? As you may already be suspecting, uh, this is not the case. This myth has stuck around for a while because a lot of these foods contain estrogen, which is a hormone that can enhance breast size, but not in the quantity required to actually make it happen. Studies have been done on the matter, and they don't seem to indicate that any estrogen-containing food actually enhances breasts.

You Can't Breastfeed If You've Had Implants Or Nipple Piercings
I don't know if you are thinking about breast feeding or breast implants or nipple piercings right now. But, just in case any of those things are on your mind, and you are concerned that having breast implants or piercings at one point of your life will hinder your ability to breast feed at another point in your life, know that you have nothing to worry about. As long as the implant or piercing isn't in the way of a milk duct, you'll be good to go.
Wearing A Bra To Bed Helps Prevent Sagging
You may have heard that Marilyn Monroe wore a bra to bed every night, and, if you want a perky rack as well, you should do the same. Please don't! There is no evidence that wearing a bra to bed makes breasts perkier, so, at best, you'll just be subjecting yourself to some unnecessary pinching throughout the night. In fact, it can cut off bloodflow and lymphatic drainage, which can lead to inflammation and fluid retention
