Waterproof Beauty Tips That You'll Need This Rainy Season

You know that feeling when you fixed your hair, curled it or straightened, you have your makeup on but then the rain ruins it? Annoying right? So much for prepping up yourself. We surely cannot control the weather but, there are things you can do so that you'll still look good during the rain.

Less Is More.
For days when the weather is gloomy, opt for an easier, more natural look instead of lots of drama. Rather than doing a smoky eye that might be hard to clean up if it gets wet, choose something light and simple.

Pack Your Essentials.
Make sure you prepare your makeup bag and keep it with you at all times. Put in a few extra products you might need to touch up with, and get to work a few minutes early to do any last-minute fixes in the mirror before you start your day. Makeup wipes, beauty blender sponges, and Q-tips are great products to keep on hand for inclement weather.

Pull It Back.
Opt to wear your hair in a chic chignon-style bun or slicked-back ponytail. If you want to wear your hair down but it tends to get really frizzy in wet and humid weather, style it as normal, then wrap it in a bun and take it down once you are inside. This creates a soft wave with no noticeable bumps or pontytail holder marks.

Cream Vs. Powder.
Opt for cream shadows and blushes instead of powder. Cream has longer staying power and can be blended more easily. When powder gets wet, it can tend to streak. Tinted moisturizers and BB/CC Creams are great foundation alternatives that require less time applying and fixing.

Waterproof Lids and Lashes.
Use waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Both products create staying power and won't melt in the rain. The key? Do not rub your eyes if they get wet. Rubbing will lead to smudging, and with waterproof products you will need to use eye makeup remover to fully remove.
