Any woman could be a victim of acne. For us girls, acne can be caused by either stress, dirt, or wacked up hormones. One thing is for sure though: acne is super ugly! However, these annoying, and often painful, bumps on our face could be telling us something. All we have to do is pay attention to it in order to get rid of them once and for all.

Some of you might be wondering why your acne doesn’t go away despite using a lot of products and paying for that expensive facial treatment. Even more mysterious is the fact that your acne might be showing up in the same place on your face.

If this is the case, you might want to consider Face Mapping or identifying the deeper issue of the breakouts on your face. Chinese Face Mapping, a.k.a. Mien Shang states that having a healthy life style will give you a clear face. Despite lack of scientific research, a number of spas and dermatology clinics refer to Mien Shang when assessing your skin.

Here are the different zones on your face that experts look at:

1. Forehead
What it means: Having acne in this part of the face could mean that your bladder and digestive system could be having a difficult time eliminating toxins from your body.

3. Cheeks
What it means: Your cheeks are said to be connected with your respiratory system. Having acne in this area could mean that you are prone to allergies or you smoke a lot. Even the dirt found on your pillow and phone screen could play a big role on the breakouts occurring in this part of your face.

Solution: Stay away from dusty areas. Cover your nose as often as you can. You should also avoid eating fast food and sugar and instead replace it with plenty of veggies.

4. Eyes and Ears
What it means: Both your eyes and ears are connected to your kidney which is why people with acne in this area are often said to be dehydrated.

5. Nose
What it means: The nose is linked to the kidney and the heart. Breakouts in this area could indicate high blood pressure or the onset of a skin disease called rosacea where the skin around the nose area turns bright red. One more reason could be a reaction to the make-up you’re using.
