The Difference Between Nail Extensions And Nail Overlays
Your hands do a lot for you. In almost everything you do, you use your hands. Even as you talk, your hands assist you in conveying our message more clearly from the way you move them as we speak.
We usually look at someone's hands when it's our first time meeting them because deny it or not, our hands say a lot about us. Because of this, it is a must to take care of our hands. A great manicure or even having good looking natural nails say that we take pride in your appearance.

Nail extensions
A lightweight plastic plate that follows the shape of the nail is glued to the tip of the natural nail in order to add length. Acrylic, gel, fibreglass or another mixture is then applied on top of the extension and is usually ‘cured’ in order to secure the extension and add strength and shine.

Nail overlays
Overlays skip the extension step, and instead of adding artificial length onto the nail, the strengthening mixture is simply applied directly onto the natural nail in order to add strength and durability.
